ADJUNCT PT REMOTE INSTRUCTORS

INTRODUCTION:

We are seeking  part-time Adjunct Faculty InstructorS to join our team here at Elite University! They would be responsible for classroom instruction and fulfilling various responsibilities related to teaching duties and program quality and fulfillment. Partner strategically with the Campus Director to enhance the quality of the student experience from enrollment through completion, including program content and events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist or lead teaching students on coaching standards as defined by accrediting institutions.
• Plan, create and deliver asynchronous and synchronous lessons, in-class discussions and activities, handouts, and assignments.
• Assess and report student outcomes based on performance on assignments and examinations.
• Provide detailed individual feedback on coaching topics based on rubric competencies.
• Skillfully facilitate learning in a live virtual classroom with a diverse student group.
• Assume a high level of responsibility for the progress of all students in the learning cohort.
• Build trust and rapport with students by establishing clear boundaries and lines of communication.
• Ownership of assigned functions of program quality and fulfillment.
• Maintain appropriate records in an organized and efficient manner.
• Work in concert with the Campus Director to ensure goals are met with agreed-upon timelines.
• Stay updated on innovations and changes within the field of professional coaching.
• Act as an advocate for the business and our students by measuring and monitoring the quality and effectiveness of our content and the impact on student satisfaction rates.
• Ensure students have abundant knowledge of all programs and the benefits they provide so students can ascend, explore other program options, and knowledgeably refer others to programs that can change their lives for the better.
• Provide support and partnership across the organization as needed
  

Qualifications

• Degree in related field or adult educating/coaching hours of more than 200.
• Experience with online learning platforms 
• Experience supervising teaching assistants
• Prior experience with fully online or remotely delivered instruction
• Prior experience with project-based learning
• Prior experience with team or collaborative teaching
• Strong interest in innovative pedagogy and course delivery models
• Required License / Registration / Certification
• Ability to communicate
• Ability to impact performance by engaging and inspiring others to high levels of individual performance.
• Agility in communication style according to situational need - to listen, coach, advise, direct, and motivate others.
• Project management experience with a team-based work management web application (e.g. Asana).
• Ability to identify areas of misalignment - to apply solution-based thinking and drive improvements.
• Ability to positively embrace new initiatives first for themselves and then for others.
• A clear commitment to the inevitability of organizational change.

The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses to develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The CDL Instructor performs duties related to delivering the appropriate instructional program as set forth by Elite University; in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their potential. This position requires strong training skills, and, calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work harmoniously with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients.

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS:
This is highly responsible position performing a wide variety of functions for ELITEU. Work is performed under the general direction of the campus Ops Coordinator. Position requires schedule, confidentiality and dress code adherence. This position requires an employee or prospective employee grant permission to do a background check.

1. prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
2. establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
3. prepare classroom and range for class activities
4. instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
5. use relevant technology to support instruction
6. observe and evaluate student's performance and development
7. provide appropriate feedback on work
8. encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
9. maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
10. update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies and school regulations
11. prepare required reports on students and activities
12. manage student behavior in the classroom and on the range by enforcing rules and procedures
13. maintain daily attendance sheet
14. perform certain pastoral duties including but not limited to student support, counseling students with academic problems and
    providing student encouragement
15. communicate necessary information regularly to students and colleagues regarding student progress and student needs
16. keep up to date with developments in subject area
17. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED, CDL and 1 year of experience driving tractor trailer; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.

Licenses:

Person(s) hired into this class may be required to either possess at entry or obtain within specified time limits designated licenses, professional registration, certification or specialized education and training relevant to the area of assignment. Must possess and maintain a valid class A CDL and a satisfactory driving record.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, as well as an outside environment, that could include extreme hot and cold temperatures and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to attend meetings at various sites within and away from the office; strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds;

• Considerable knowledge of CDL requirements;

• Computer applications related to the work;
• Techniques for effectively representing ELITEU, including making effective public presentations and dealing with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, in person and over the telephone.
